Our Whirlwind Trip
My Little Brother Matthew married a beautiful girl named Kailey last Friday April 24, 2009. We made a quick trip to Utah for the Festivities. While in Utah we not only saw Matthew get married, but we were able to go on a fieldtrip with my Mom's preschool class to a local farm, have an early birthday party for Carter's 2nd birthday and also see Chuck's Dad Bruce retire from the Mormon Tablenacle Choir, all in 4 days. It was a great trip!

And So The Graduation Fun Begins...
Tonight Chuck and I attended an Awards Ceremony for University of Tulsa College of Law and also the Board of Advocates Awards Banquet. Chuck was one of 10 graduating law students to receive a very prestigious award named the Order of Barristers. This award is a nationally recognized award given in recognition of demonstrated excellence in moot court and mock trial activities. Chuck has been involved in the Board of Advocates and moot court throughout law school. He competed in a moot competition his 1L year and received 3rd placed. He participated in the AAJ Trial Advocacy Traveling team his 2L year and traveled to Denver to compete. He competed in the ABA Negotiation Competition his 3L year and received 2nd place. He also competed in the Constitutional Law competition and was granted a place on the Constitutional Law traveling team (but didn't travel or compete with this team). He also participated on the NTC Trial Advocacy Traveling Team his 3L year and traveled to Oklahoma City to compete. His Team advanced to the semi finals. I am very proud of Chuck and his accomplishments in Law School. Congratulations on such an awesome award!

Because I hate arm-chair Quarterbacks
Bucksbee Visit
Our good friends Steve & Candice came down from Omaha to see us. It was an awesome visit - we had a great time, they were kind enough to bring their motorhome & put it in our driveway, made us feel like real, genuine Oakies. Just awesome.

But seriously, we're very lucky to have such good friends actually willing to visit us. We sure love ya. Below is a pic from the Public Interest Talent Show. Steve was kind enough to lend his talent to the cause. This year we quadrupled the amount raised - which was just awesome. Thanks again Steve & Candice!

Tulsa Zoo
Yes, Tulsa does have a Zoo. It of course isn't quite up to the Omaha Zoo, but we went to the Zoo on Friday. I was all excited because there is a train at the Zoo and Carter loves "cho cho's." By the time we got to the train it was time for Carter's nap and so we only made it 1/2 through the Zoo. It was still a good time. Thank you to Susan for inviting us.
