Pool Time

Today Carter got to play in his new frog pool he got for his birthday. At first he didn't like it, but once we brought his rubber ducky in the pool with him he decided it was ok! Yeah for rubber duckies.

Losing Carter's luscious locks...or first haircut

Today we broke down and took Carter to the barbershop." Yes, it was almost like we were in the movies, just like the movie Barbershop. During lunch Carter decided to decorate his hair with peas, pasta and crackers, needless to say it is quite the job to clean him up. So unsupecting Carter was taken to get his first haircut. The pictures tell the story better than I can. I just hope his hair grows fast for his Aunt Heather's wedding in August.

Big hair in a little hat

Carter received this hat for his birthday. We thought we might try it on him. As you can see he has too much hair for such a little hat. He doesn't seem to be a fan of hats anyways. I guess he must be his father's son, because his dad sure doesn't like hats either.

Carter is ONE!

Today is Carter's 1st Birthday! He had a great day full of presents, pictures and cake. We had his picture taken with his own little drum cake. There isn't any evidence of him actually eating the cake yet, we won't get those pictures until June 4th. His other cake was a fish that I tried to make creative. He didn't eat any of that cake, he just threw it on the floor. Maybe he doesn't really like cake? Who can blame him, ice cream is much better (he hasn't tried ice cream yet). It is hard to believe our little guy is now one. What a great year we have had! We sure love him and can't wait to see what new things he will learn next.

True drummer

Ok, I forgot to post this a little while ago. Carter loves the drums! The first place he goes to in the morning is the drums. So we decided to pull out the bongos and the moroccas(?) that we got when we were in Mexico. Of course Carter loved them. I think we are going to be a house full of drummers...I guess it could be worse. :)

Ready for walking

This picture of Carter shows what a happy baby he is. He loves everything and anything. Here he is excited to go on a walk.

Carter really likes his sippy cup. He is really good at biting it, throwing it and shaking it. He hasn't quite figured out how to drink out of it yet though. He is still really cute though!

The greatest thing about Carter's hair is how much fun it is to style.
