Drummer Baby

Carter is now 11 months old and has taken up the drums. He always heads towards them and yesterday showed us his drumming ability. If I ever figure out how to post my camcorder I will let everyone hear how great he is.

Moments so far

I thought it might be fun to post some pictures of us from when we started dating to now.

So this post is a little bit late, but I wanted to find a picture of Carter to show how tiny he really was when we adopted him. Here he is at his first doctor's appt. at 1 week old. He weighed 5 lbs. Look at his tiny feet! It is amazing to remember how tiny he was. He was in premie diapers for 2 weeks at least and his premie clothes were even too big for him. You would never guess that now.

Socks...who needs them

Carter really enjoys socks, as long as he doesn't have to wear them. He seems to enjoy tasting them instead.

A Sink? Really?

Don't you just hate it when you throw up all over your mom and end up in the sink to get cleaned off?

Our Forever Family

January 5, 2008...That was the day that we became a Forever Family. Our sweet son was sealed to us this day in the Salt Lake Temple. The day was very snowy and cold and we woke up early to drive an hour through the snow. When we finally reached Salt Lake Valley the roads kept getting full of more snow, I wondered if we had left in enough time to make it to the temple on time and safe. We finally made it to the temple. As we walked out of the cold and into the warmth of the temple doors the spirit was so strong. Carter ( a little over 7 months) was dressed in a white tuxedo and looked so handsome. After showing our recommends, walking to the doorway of the temple and being approached by a temple sister neither one of us could speak to tell them we were here to be sealed to our baby. Both our eyes full of tears and our hearts full of joy, the sister at the temple understood without words our purpose at the temple that day.
